Some things to watch out for:

Uncharted Audio 3 hour special on Groovetech

This takes place between 6pm and 9pm on Tuesday 11th December and features the man like Kone-R in the mix and also a live set by man of the moment Cursor Miner. Apparently there’s going to be interviews and stuff too! If you stream the show you will also be able to check out an astonishing visual display which has been specially put together for us by Brainfresh.

Finally, plans are underway for the New Years Eve Wang, this is going to be a stomper, with a massive array of top-notch DJ’s. Among those already confirmed are K-Rock (Rephlex), ADJ (Pyramid), World Krak Cartel, Chris Rotter and our very own Kone-R! Tickets will be a mere ten quid in advance. A few things to mention.

First up, UNCH001 by Cursor Miner is now available thru those lovely people at Warp.

Secondly, stock of UNCH002 by Langer has arrived at UA Towers and these 7″‘s look and sound lovely. Expect them to be available from all the usual outlets within two weeks, and be sure to snap them up quick, as they are absurdly limited to just 300 copies. Distribution is thru Cargo.

More Cursor Miner live action!

Mr Miner has been a busy chap recently – the smallfish records instore was well busy, respect to all who attended! Next up on the schedule is a half-hour live appearance at Law & Auder’s Rehabilitation night, at The Foundry, 84-86 Great Eastern Street, London EC2 (nearest tube Old Street). Its on Friday 7th December 2001, runs from 8pm-12pm, admission is free and the line-up also features resident dj’s Spongeboy & Tench/Dancon One, Fallen Angel (live), visuals by Mark Everett and guest dj DFI.F.U.
Rehabilitation – “like popping to your local – just a better local with great music”!

Smallfish Instore Appearance

Cursor Miner is appearing at Smallfish Records as part of an Unbearable Recordings special. You can find Smallfish (one of London’s topmost record shops, incidentally!) at 372 Old Street EC1V 9LT. The event also features Gamers In Exile/My Selfish Desire, Mainpal Inv/Goodiepal and Nish. The event is on the 15th November 2001 and will start at about 7.30pm. You are invited to bring along drinks and friends!

“With the artist having recently released tracks for Lo Recordings, Noodles and Unbearable Recordings this six-tracker was eagerly received. And boy, what a find! The EP contains six incredibly inventive cuts ranging in style from abstract noise explorations to sample manipulations, quirky pop and even twisted Sid Barrett style prog rock! The common thread throughout is the combination of the perverse and the catchy. Cursor Miner’s 6  track EP (unch001) is currently top of Andrew Weatherall’s recommended records of the month.

“‘thismanadventure’ is like the tuning of three transistor radios who’s dial allows the scanning of time, space, and radio waves. ‘virus’ is a three minute burst of electro – punk. ‘pop music’ retunes the martian radio mentioned above but then begins to encase them in molten concrete. As befits a man who appeared on The Complete Death of Cool, this EP is out there, funky, but with a sly grin on it’s wee radge face. Care in the community never sounded so good.”
